Fog - noun - a thick cloud of tiny water droplets Fog - noun - a thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface which obscures or restricts visibility.⁣
⁣
Up until not long ago, I would have probably complained and or skipped a hike if the fog was around. ⁣
I thought it was pointless as, as the definition suggests, visibility would have been restricted. Well, I’m so glad I was wrong. ⁣
In fact, now, I tend to look for the fog and hope for her to appear and do her magic.⁣
⁣
Yes, fog creates magic and its magic in herself. ⁣
Fog creates another dimension that helps you immerse your whole self and soul into the environment. ⁣
It surrounds everything with a layer of mystery where imagination and reality become one. ⁣
It hides what’s far from you so you can focus on where you are. On the ground, you are walking on. On the small details that too often go unseen.⁣
⁣
This is what I tried to do while exploring Kanangra Falls in the @bluemountainsaustralia . ⁣
When I first got there, a thin yet vast layer of fog was living there. Some light was able to pass through which looked like a portal welcoming me to this hidden world.⁣
Once in, my focus went on the ground that was holding me and on the small creatures that were living there.⁣
From a family of tiny mushrooms to a perfect yet alone fern leaf, it was pure magic.⁣

Which one do you prefer?⁣ ⁣ I’ve been trying Which one do you prefer?⁣
⁣
I’ve been trying to decide which one of these two versions I like the most but I truly can’t make a decision! (Thank you overthinking) ⁣
That’s why I decided to post both of them and get to know your opinion. 😊⁣
You are a wonderful community and any thought or comment is truly welcome and appreciated!⁣
⁣
A bit of a backstory about this shot. ⁣
I took it while exploring Kanangra National Park (the same place as my previous post) in the @bluemountainsaustralia . ⁣
It was a new place for me that I had never heard of but was excited to explore and admire. Besides the thousands of flies flying around me, everything else was truly beautiful!⁣
⁣
There was nobody else that day which meant I could fully immerse myself with the nature of the place. ⁣
After quite a few steps, uneven paths and a section where you had to pull yourself up with chains, this majestic view appeared in front of my eyes.⁣
It was so full, loud, fast, beautiful and surrounded by ferns and lush nature. I truly couldn’t stop admiring it and listening to its music.⁣
⁣
Whenever I see a waterfall, I can’t stop thinking about its story, its magic and the sector’s it holds. ⁣
It might sound silly but I turn into a kind when in front of Mother Nature’s creations! ⁣
However, I wouldn’t change it for anything as it allows me to always admire them with fresh eyes.⁣

BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS⁣ Day by day, it seems like BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS⁣
Day by day, it seems like nothing really changes. It seems like you are sacrificing so much of your time and energy, but staying in the same exact place. It's not until you look back at where you started, that you realise just how far you have come, just how much you have grown. Every late night, every tear and every panic attack, the dark circles under your eyes, the self-doubt and self-criticism along the way; all worth it to finally see just how far you've come. And if you can't see it just yet, don't stop now, it's just the beginning, and beginnings are beautiful. Not because they are easy, but because they are full of hope, hard work, possibility, opportunity and anticipation of everything to come.⁣
By Charlotte Freeman @momentaryhappiness
⁣
This feeling of sacrificing time and energy is not uncommon to me. It has hunted me and, at times, I still allow it to do so.⁣
It makes you believe that you are not moving forward and that years keep passing by without you even noticing it.⁣
It puts self-doubt inside your mind and it thrives on that.⁣
⁣
However, it won’t last forever. ⁣
There will be times when you look back at what you’ve achieved and done and you feel proud. ⁣
Proud of what you had to go through to get here. ⁣
And you will realise how strong and capable you are because you kept going, even if you didn’t see it at first. ⁣
And you will see the light of your new life chapter ready for you. ⁣
⁣
This is how I felt while editing these shots from Kanangra Park. ⁣
I kept looking at them and at the changes that my style is going through and felt surprised and proud. ⁣
Also, I looked back at my previous shots and saw some growth that I wasn't seeing before. And it felt good. ⁣
⁣
Don't stop now, it's just the beginning.⁣

I took these pictures last week on my way back fro I took these pictures last week on my way back from a dam I often go to. ⁣
It doesn’t overlook anything fancy, you can’t swim and it’s often surrounded by prickly grass, but it still has lots of beauty in it. ⁣
The afternoon spent there was truly magical and blissful, filled with gratitude and countless kangaroos hopping around! ⁣
Whenever my eyes catch them, I really turn into a kid and I have 0 shame or regrets about it! ⁣
I start saying “have you seen them? Oh they are jumping! I need to pat them!” and it always feels like the first time 😅⁣
⁣
On my way home from it, I saw two horses on the side of a fence eating. ⁣
I yelled at @zach.mann to stop the car, got out of it and made my way towards them with my camera⁣
My heart was truly in ecstasy and although it wasn’t my first time seeing a horse, I was in heaven!⁣
I started patting them, observing them, taking lots of pictures and learning from them⁣
⁣
They were emanating a sense of peace, gratitude and focus. ⁣
While eating, it felt like they were savouring every bite, taking their time to truly enjoy it. ⁣
Nothing else was important besides the action they were currently spending energy on.⁣
Something very different from our society that praises multitasking and condemns taking a break.⁣
In fact, the few times I eat without a computer, phone or tv, it feels weird and like I’m wasting time.⁣
⁣
In reality, taking a break and truly savouring what we are doing is not evil, but essential.⁣
We need to take a break from this constant and unnecessary race and start learning from Mother Nature.⁣
She doesn't race, she lives.⁣

Australia, the land of droughts, floods and fires! Australia, the land of droughts, floods and fires!⁣
⁣
Do you know why bushfires are so prevalent in Australia?⁣
This is due not only to the nature of the land, which is the driest continent on Earth after Antarctica but also because they are essential for the survival of Australian nature.⁣
In fact, much of the Australian flora and fauna have adapted to its dry environment and it relies on bushfires to reproduce!⁣
⁣
Also, almost the entirety of the country is covered in Eucalyptus trees which are basically a bomb waiting to detonate! ⁣
The oil present in their leaves is highly flammable so, when you combine billions of highly flammable trees with fire well, you guessed it 😅 ⁣
They developed this mechanism to try and eliminate competition from less fire-tolerant plants. In fact, Eucalyptus trees can re-sprout even after they’ve been through heavy fires. ⁣
Just like a phoenix.⁣
⁣
Besides Eucalyptus, though, other endemic trees have developed seeds that only open when triggered by intensive heat and fire. Just like the one in these pictures. ⁣
If it wasn’t for fire, this seed wouldn’t have been able to open and, therefore, reproduce.⁣
⁣
Although these plants have developed great ways to deal with fire, there’s only so much they can take!⁣
Global warming and the climate emergency our planet is facing are turning bushfires into total catastrophes. And the 2019-2020 ones are a devastating example of it.⁣
⁣
Try to remember that what we do has an impact on our planet. ⁣
Reduce, reuse and recycle. ⁣
Minimise or stop eating meat and other animal products.⁣
Slow down and appreciate our home.⁣
Don't think we are the only one calling this planet home.⁣

“RUN FREE MY LOVE⁣ Don't ignore that little pa “RUN FREE MY LOVE⁣
Don't ignore that little part of you that tells you to keep going—the little voice in your head that's strong and believes in you even when you are doubting yourself.⁣
Don't run from that beautiful, vulnerable part of who you are. That's the part that will lead you to great adventures and magical opportunities. Let that little voice speak louder. You have too much passion and determination to hide your gift from the world. Run free, my love; unleash your beauty on this world, and don't stop until that burning fire inside your soul feels proud.⁣
Written by Charlotte Freeman @momentaryhappiness “⁣
⁣
Both life and unleashing our beauty on this world take time and effort. ⁣
We might also have to go through a lot of painful and energy-draining experiences before this happens. ⁣
And we might feel like giving up many times because we can’t see the point of this.⁣
But, one day, our pure self along with the little voice inside us and the fire that kept burning no matter what, who or why, will finally blossom.⁣
And we will feel proud of everything we have achieved, for who we are and for showing ourselves to the world.⁣
⁣
The flower in the picture is a pink flannel flower. ⁣
At first, it might look like a standard, cute but not memorable one. ⁣
However, last time it was spotted in such large quantities in the @bluemountainsaustralia was over 50 years ago. ⁣
This is because it needs lots of fire and rain to blossom. ⁣
Two elements that are seen as opposites of each other but both needed to create such a delicate beauty.⁣
⁣
So, let the fire inside yourself burn but also accept the moments of rain that will happen in your life.⁣
They are shaping your soul and making it ready to blossom.⁣
