3 Best Vegetarian & Vegan-Friendly Restaurants in Bangkok That Accept Cards

We all know that Thailand is famous for its warm weather, tropical beaches, friendly locals and the flavorful food! From the classic pad thai to papaya salad, mango sticky rice and curries, it shouldn’t be too hard to find something that would suit your palate. However, I must admit that finding vegetarian options hasn’t always been easy! I definitely had different memories about it from when I celebrated my birthday here!

When it comes to eating out while in Thailand, though, there’s one thing that I still struggle with which is cash payment! I know that cash is still king here but I personally never carry it with me. I simply don’t like it. I especially like it even less when traveling abroad because of the ATM fees that I might have to pay to take cash out! This is why I try to find restaurants that would accept card payments. Let me clarify that I still eat from street vendors or cash only places, but having options is never wrong!

That’s why in this post, I’ve decided to share with you 3 restaurants in Bangkok that I have tried, are good, have vegetarian/vegan options and that accept card payments! If you have other ones to suggest, feel free to write them in the comments!

So, if you’re looking for some of the best vegetarian restaurants in Bangkok that also accept cards, this post is for you!

Let’s begin then!

3 Best Vegetarian & Vegan-Friendly Restaurants in Bangkok That Accept Cards

Alice Cafe – A Cashless Surprise Near the Royal Palace

This cute little cafe is actually cashless which absolutely took me by surprise! It’s located very close to the Royal Palace and Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan.

They offer an extensive food and drinks menu with a few veggie options and lots of tasty treats! The cafe has a modern and quiet ambiance, making it a great spot to work from if needed.

N014 – A Cozy, Japanese-Inspired Café in Bangkok

This cafe is just around the corner from Alice and it’s owned by a lovely young couple and the style of it is very Japanese inspired.

They offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks and delicious toasts and omelette rice! I’ve eaten here multiple times and always go for the omelette rice with cheese and mushrooms! Very filling and healthy. Also, you can pay by card with no surcharge!

Kem-Kon Vegan – A Heaven for Plant-Based Food Lovers

This is really vegan heaven! It’s a chain of fully vegan restaurants with such a big menu that you would probably need 2 weeks or more to try everything! I visited their Phra Nakhon location so often that all the people working there basically knew me already!

It’s really hard to pick just one dish, but I highly recommend trying their carrot cake! The first time I had it, it was sensational and one of the tastiest desserts I’ve had in a while! It’s a bit more on the pricier side compared to street food but if you are a vegetarian or vegan, want to eat “safe”, have options and also pay with card, this is the place to try!

Special mention: Vegan Pranakhon

This restaurant is right opposite the beginning of Khaosan Rd, probably the busiest and loudest road in Bangkok at night. I haven’t personally tried it but walked past and the inside of it looked really elegant and relaxing and the menu very appealing! On Google Maps it says it’s cash only but on their door they had a sticker saying they accept credit cards, which is why I’m mentioning it.
